Born 1861 in Corwall, Wales1,2, 3Parents are unknown to this historian; per California Death Index his mother's maiden name is Penpraise.  Married Euphamia MEEK in Berkeley, California, where they met.1,2  Died 1947 in Berkeley, California..1,2

 

Children with Euphamia Meek:

Lt. Com. Clarence Herbert Dyer, male born 29 Jul 1892, with issue.

John Leighton Dyer, male born 12 Aug 1901, with issue.

Margaret Elizabeth Dyer, female born 26 Oct 1906, with issue.

 

In Alameda County, California in the 1920 Census.3

Was a mining engineer until his retirement in 1916 from the Honolulu Iron Works.2

The 1881 British Census gives three William Dyers born in Wales about this time.  They are:

     -the son of William Dyer (born Ystadgnlas, Glamorgan, Wales, 1838) and Mary (born Dowlais, Glamorgan, Wales, 1839), living at 8a Ash Road, Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorgan, Wales with siblings Mary, Benjamin, Sophia, Elizabeth and Catherine.

    - the oldest child of Morgan Dyer (born Carmarthen, Wales, 1844) and Sarah A. (born Newcastle-Upon-Thyne 1849) living at George St. Ferndale, Llanwonno, Glamorgan, Wales with siblings John, Mary Ann, Elizabeth, Martha and Rachel J.

     - the son of Charles Dyer (born Trowbridge, Wiltshire, England, 1841) and Jane (born Box, Wiltshire, England, 1841) living at 2 Lawrenny Terrace, Llanstadwell, Pembroke, Wales with siblings Mary A, Sarah J, Ellen, Charles, Henry B, Ernest R and James G.
