New information obtained: updates pendings.

Born Apr 1805.1  Married Mary HEDDITCHE who was born 07 Apr 1809.1 Died 04 Aug 18707, 8 and buried in the Strongsville Cemetary.7, 8 In the 1870 United States Census Mary is living alone in Strongsville, Ohio with several of her children.6 Mary died 05 Aug 18747, 8 and is buried in the Strongsville Cemetery at the same marker as her husband.7, 8  Nothing else known by this historian.

Ann H Dyke, female born 11 May 1833. Died 05 August 1874.1, 5, 9

John Dyke, male born 20 Dec 1834.1  This historian believes that this individual3 immigrated to Ohio after arriving in New York5 and married Mary Adams 10 Jun 1858 in Saint Johns Episcopal Church, Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio.2  This would explain why there is an Adams genealogy written into the Dyke Family Bible.1  They were the parents of Lottie Dyke, who had no surviving offspring.3, 9

Henry Dyke, male born 12 Jul 1836, with issue.1, 4, 5

George Dyke, male born 20 Jul 1838.1, 5  Lives in Strongsville, Ohio in 1870.Died 13 January 1903.9

Albert Dyke, male born 12 Sep 1840.1  Lives in Strongsville, Ohio in 1870.6  Married Mary Jane Harding on 12 April 1971.9  Died 18 August 1878.Descendents to be added.9

Walter Dyke, male born 21 Oct 1842.1, 4  Married Amelia Ann Wellington and they had four children:  William J (b. 1874), Sidney (b. 1885), Alfred (b. 1877) and Katherine (b. 1879).4, 9  Additional children and descendents to be added.9

Mary E Dyke, female born 10 Apr 1845.  Descendents to be added.9

Kate Augusta2 Dyke, female born 07 Mar 1850 in Donhead-St Mary, Wiltshire, England2.  Lives in Strongsville, Ohio in 1870 with her mother and brothers.6  Descendents to be added.9

Edwin Dyke, male born 25 Sep 1847.1  Lives in Strongsville, Ohio in 1870.6  Died 08 January 1910 as a bachelor with no issue.9

Gilbert Dyke, male born 20 Aug 1853.1, 4  Lives in Strongsville, Ohio in 1870. In 1880, lives with his brother Walter in East Cleaveland, Ohio.4  Married Sarah Sanbrook 17 Oct 1881 in Cuyahoga, Ohio.2, 4, 9  No known descendants.9

 

John, Henry, George and Ann landed in New York aboard the Ship Rhine on 21 Dec 1855.
