Baby Wrap For My Nephew

Pattern:

From 50 Creacions Para Tu Bebe (Book #14)  by Fil Katia, S.A. of Spain, pattern #23.

Very easy- simply stockingette stitch with garter stitch on the edges.  The instructions for finishing are a little confusing.  I chose to omit the collar and simply use a running stitch to gather the top of the body and sewed it directly to the hood.   Somehow I got the hood way to large; probably a gauge issue.  In the picture the baby is about one week old, 7.75 lbs.

90% acrylic, 10% polyester

Gauge:

4.75 stitches/inch on #10.5 needles (the pattern is written to a gauge of 3.75 stitches/inch on #9 needles).  No blocking was done.
