Pattern:

There are four stitches of garter up the side and four rows across the ends- which didn't end up looking like four rows.  Six rows probably would have looked more balanced.

The middle is knit across the front side and k1p1 across the reverse.  This results in columns of knits with columns of k1p1 between, as viewed from the front.

Berroco Pure Merino color 8652

Gauge:

No clue.  It's a DK weight yard and I knit on 10.5 needles.

Time:

It was probably something like 15 hours.
